Yan, a former postdoctoral fellow at the School of Public Health at the Hong Kong University of Medicine, left Hong Kong in April. In an interview with Fox News in July in the United States, she accused China of concealing the COVID-19 outbreak, saying that the virus was not a product of nature but was based on two viruses found in bats by the Chinese military.Despite her lack of evidence, Ms Yan became an overnight darling of the us right-wing media, hailed as a hero by senior White House advisers and conservative pundits alike.

French cuisine
Don't forget to try French cuisine. You should degust famous frog's legs, escagots (cooked in oil) and foie gras (liver of a duck or a goose specially fattened by gavage). And my opinion? There is almost no meat on frog's legs :-), lightly spiced escagots may be quite good (or let's say interesting) and foie gras is something I don't need to eat again :-).

What Others say

France (pronounced /fræns/ or /frans/, French: [fros]), officially the French Republic (French: République française, pronounced [repyublik frasez]), is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and that also comprises various overseas islands and territories located in other continents. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. French people often refer to Metropolitan France as L’Hexagone (The “Hexagon”) because of the geometric shape of its territory. France is a unitary semi-presidential republic. Its main ideals are expressed in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. France is bordered by Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, Andorra, and Spain. Due to its overseas departments, France also shares land borders with Brazil and Suriname (bordering French Guiana) , and the Netherlands Antilles (bordering Saint-Martin). France is also linked to the United Kingdom by the Channel Tunnel, which passes underneath the English Channel. France was one of the world's foremost powers from the latter half of the 17th century until the early 19th century. In the 18th and 19th centuries, France built one of the largest colonial empires of the time, stretching across West Africa and Southeast Asia, prominently influencing the cultures and politics of the regions. France is a developed country, with the sixth (nominal GDP) or eighth (PPP) largest economy in the world. It is the most visited country in the world, receiving 82 million foreign tourists annually (including business visitors, but excluding people staying less than 24 hours in France). France is one of the founding members of the European Union, and has the largest land area of all members. France is also a founding member of the United Nations, and a member of the Francophonie, the G8, and the Latin Union. It is one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council; it is also an acknowledged nuclear power.
Wikipedia

Although ultimately a victor in World Wars I and II, France suffered extensive losses in its empire, wealth, manpower, and rank as a dominant nation-state. Nevertheless, France today is one of the most modern countries in the world and is a leader among European nations. Since 1958, it has constructed a hybrid presidential-parliamentary governing system resistant to the instabilities experienced in earlier more purely parliamentary administrations. In recent years, its reconciliation and cooperation with Germany have proved central to the economic integration of Europe, including the introduction of a common exchange currency, the euro, in January 1999. At present, France is at the forefront of efforts to develop the EU's military capabilities to supplement progress toward an EU foreign policy.
